A couple of days ago, I sat with one of the attendees of The Conversation Event. He is a father, executive and a true world changer. The talk reminded me of how words can change lives. He explained a conversation he had with his mother just before she died. She could not talk at that time due to a surgery that impacted her vocal chords. So, she resorted to writing her last words on a sheet of paper. She pushed those words across to him, and it’s a memory that he will have forever.
What Conversations do you remember the most?
I’ve met some pretty powerful people. I have had conversations with amazing entrepreneurs such
as Richard Branson, but even those aren’t necessarily the conversations that impacted me most.
I’m going to be on The World’s Largest Book Club call on Tuesday night talking about a book I wrote, The Compass. When I wrote the book, I had no idea it would take off globally and that I’d be contacted by Dateline, Oprah and readers who were deeply impacted by the story. It’s a book that makes you think.
In the book, one man takes off on a journey into his soul. He discovers several new people along the way as he’s led from one country to another and finally, a cabin in the woods. At the end of his journey he did one thing that changed his life. And he didn’t even know why. This one thing is an action step that I have observed all successful leaders taking and it’s instantaneous. Life is unexpected. But there are a lot of moments we can control and direct, in order to transform. This call is about eliminating the dross, getting rid of those barnacles beneath
the surface that weigh us down.
I hope you can join me as I talk about the one thing that every human can do to positively impact business and life today. You don’t have to read the book to join in! Grab your favorite beverage and get into your pajamas. Listen, learn, or join the conversation.
To your legacy,
Tammy Kling
